We add oatmeal which calms irritated skin and other oil which adds moisturizes to the skin. Buttermilk is a very mild soap, great for combination skin and has a luxurious lather.. We use fresh creamy buttermilk and fresh goats milk straight from farm in our soap. We never use powdered milk or water.
